Plan Explanation (Beach Assistance)

Beach Assistance Plan is peace of mind for you and your family. This plan includes 1 (one) service per year. Any items listed under this plans coverages, on this page that are requested will count as the use of 1(one) service. The member may use the 24-hour phone support without it counting as the use of their one service. OSV Assist will cover the cost of the gas or oil delivery, but the cost of gas or oil will be the responsibility of the member. This plan covers you, no matter what vehicle you decide to drive on the beach that day. Service fees will be paid to the service provider dispatched by OSV Assist LLC, up to $350.00 per service request. Any amount above the allotted $350.00 will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner or operator to the towing company dispatched. Once you have used the 1(one) allotted service, you can purchase an additional plan to have access to 1(one) more service. The new plan will not go into effect for 48 hours.

Plan Explanation (Beach Towing Assistance)

Beach Towing Assistance Plan provides peace of mind for you and your family. This plan includes all the services offered under the Beach Assistance Plan and covers up to 2(two) services per year. Each member with a Beach Towing Assistance membership card is eligible to use 2(two) of any services in any combination. However, customers may not use two of the same service on the same vehicle at the same time (for example, you may use 1(one) service to be towed off the beach and 1(one) service to be towed home, but you cannot use 2(two) tow home services to cover 20 of on-road towing mile). Any items listed under this plans coverages that are requested will count as 1(one) of the 2(two) services available each year. The 24-hour phone support does not count as one of these services. OSV Assist will cover the cost of gas or oil delivery, but the cost of the gas or oil itself will be the responsibility of the member. Trucks with side-in campers are covered under this service plan up to the allotted coverage amount. Be aware that services for these larger and heavier trucks are only offered by limited companies, and service may take longer due to the requirements these companies have to meet. This plan covers you no matter what vehicle you decide to drive on the beach that day. Service fees will be paid to the service provider dispatched by OSV Assist up to $550.00 per service request. Any amount exceeding $550.00 will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner or operator. Once you have used the 2(two) allotted services for the year, you can purchase an additional plan to access 2(two) more services. The new plan will not go into effect for 48 hours. Plan Explanation (Ultimate Off-Road Assistance)

Ultimate Off-Road Assistance Plan offers peace of mind for you and your family. This plan includes all the services provided under any Beach Assistance and Beach Towing Assistance plan, including any future additions to these plans. The Ultimate Off-Road Assistance Plan covers the cost of 2 gallons of gas or up to 4 quarts of oil. It also includes free battery replacement. If you need a new battery, a new one will be delivered and installed at no cost to you (the customer is responsible for the cost of the battery, which must be paid to the service provider). Some vehicles with batteries located under seats or in fender wells (which can be difficult to access) do not qualify for this battery installation service due to the difficulty of install, although delivery is still available. This plan includes 4(four) services per year. Each customer with an Ultimate Off-Road Assistance membership card is eligible to use 4(four) services in any combination. However, you cannot use 2, 3, or 4 of the same service for the same vehicle at the same time (e.g., you cannot use 2 tow-home services to cover 20 on-road towing miles). Any items listed under these plan coverages that are requested will count as 1(one) of the 4(four) services available each year. Members can use the 24-hour phone support without it counting toward their allotted services. Trucks with side-in campers are covered under this plan up to the allotted coverage amount. Note that services for these larger trucks are offered by a limited number of companies and may take longer due to the specific requirements these companies must meet. Electric vehicle charging is covered, but the vehicle operator must pay the hourly charging rate, which is determined by the service provider (SERVICE COMING SOON). This plan covers you regardless of which vehicle you choose to drive on the beach that day. Service fees will be paid to the service provider dispatched by OSV Assist, up to $850 per service request. Any amount exceeding $850 will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner or operator. Once you have used your 4(four) allotted services, you can purchase an additional plan for 4(four) more services. The new plan will take effect 48 hours after purchase.

Plan Details & Limitations

 All service plans cover the following areas:

DELAWARE: Cape Henlopen State Park, Beach Plum Island Nature Preserve, Delaware Seashore State Park, Fenwick Island State Park (parking and access ramp included)

MARYLAND & VIRGINIA: Assateague Island OSV (parking and access ramps included)

We are exploring the option of expanding the plan to cover all drive-on beaches on the East Coast of the United States, possibly starting in the year 2025.


Coverage can be denied if:

  • Membership has expired (membership expires one year from the date of purchase).
  • Membership card and state-issued photo I.D. do not match.
  • Vehicle is located in an unauthorized area (on sand dune, in the surf, etc.).
  • Member is not present during service.
  • Vehicle that needs service is a commercial vehicle, tractor, motorcycle, trailer, vehicle with a GVWR of 14,000 lbs or more, or a non-approved vehicle to be on the beach per regulations.

Additional Information:

  • All subscription plans can be canceled at any time for any reason. The subscription must be canceled no less than 24 hours before payment is processed; otherwise, payment processing cannot be reversed. Please call (302) 259-1123, 8 am-5 pm, 7 days a week to cancel.
  • All coverage will go into effect 48 hours after purchase. When the membership card arrives, it must be with the member when service is requested.
  • All requests for service must be submitted to OSV Assist via phone call at (302) 259-1123.
  • No reimbursement will be offered for services performed by anyone not dispatched by OSV Assist LLC without prior authorization.
  • OSV Assist reserves the right to perform any requested service. If a qualified representative of the OSV Assist towing team is not available, a qualified third-party off-road towing and recovery specialist will be dispatched and paid directly by OSV Assist, up to the member’s coverage amount.
  • Any cost above the selected plan's allowance will be the responsibility of the customer to pay to the dispatched tow company.
  • This is not an insurance plan. We do not cover vehicle, property, or personal injury/damage claims. These plans are solely a prepaid service plan that will cover the cost of services you need off-road, as listed under the plan you have purchased.
  • Once a plan has been purchased, no refunds will be offered for not using any of the services for the year.
  • The service provider is not responsible for damaged or broken battery terminals/wires due to age or normal wear and tear.
